Franciacorta Festival: the exclusive events

Today we present one of the most anticipated events in the food and wine world: the Franciacorta Festival.

An initiative organized by the Franciacorta Consortium that every year celebrates its most famous DOCG, Franciacorta. One of Italy’s finest wines, produced in the province of Brescia across 19 municipalities.

Events to attend during this occasion are truly numerous. Guided winery tours, lunches and dinners to discover the area’s food and wine traditions, tastings, picnics, and concerts.

The Franciacorta Festival is the perfect time of the year to explore the Franciacorta region and fall in love with it.

Let’s find out together when the Franciacorta Festival takes place, which wineries are participating, and what events they are organizing.

When it takes place and how to participate

For the 2025 edition, the Festival will take place in September, specifically from the 19th to the 21st of the month. Three days in Franciacorta with exclusive activities not to be missed.

But which Franciacorta wineries are participating in the initiative? Let’s discover them together.

Elisabetta Abrami for the Franciacorta Festival

“Our winery is a young one, about twenty years old, started by my mother, Elisabetta Abrami, to follow her great passion for Pinot Noir and organic viticulture.” -Giuseppe-

On the occasion of the Franciacorta Festival, Elisabetta and Giuseppe from the winery Elisabetta Abrami have organized the event Magnum Tasting and Picnic in the Vineyard.

The tour begins with a visit to the winery and the story of their history and winemaking method, linked to organic farming and their passion for Pinot Noir.

During the event you will have the chance to enjoy a picnic tasting the winery’s Franciacorta wines with your loved ones among the rows on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21. You will taste 2 of their organic Franciacorta wines in Magnum format: Franciacorta Satén Magnum (100% Chardonnay) and Franciacorta Rosé Magnum (70% Pinot Noir).

The wines will be accompanied by one of Brescia’s great traditional classics: bread and local salami. A vegetarian option (cheese) is available—please specify in the booking notes.

The tasting will take place in their Pinot Noir “Dossi” vineyard in front of the winery, where the experience will be made even more pleasant by soft music among the rows.

The winery is located in Provaglio d’Iseo, in the province of Brescia.

Franciacorta Festival – Tenuta Ambrosini

Among the Franciacorta wineries participating in the initiative we also find Tenuta Ambrosini.

The owners of the winery have organized 2 exclusive events for you:

1. Tour with tasting
2. Franciacorta and Spiedo in the winery

The Tour with tasting includes a visit to the winery with an explanation of the Franciacorta winemaking process and the tasting of 2 glasses of Franciacorta of your choice.

The tasting can be paired with:

• Rustic focaccia and a selection of typical cold cuts
• Brescian-style Casoncelli
• Tomato and caper bruschetta with cheese and jam (vegetarian option)
• Brescian Spiedo and Brescian Polenta
• Beef with olive oil and Brescian Polenta

You can join the event on all days of the Franciacorta Festival.

Franciacorta and Spiedo in the winery will take place on Friday, September 19 and Saturday, September 20 at 8:00 PM.

Here, the main ingredients will be: dinner, live music, a barbecue, quality wines, and the company of your friends or whomever you choose.

After the winery tour with an explanation of the Franciacorta method, dinner will be served. You can find the complete menu by clicking on the experience. During dinner, you will taste 4 glasses of Franciacorta served throughout the meal.

The winery is located in Cazzago San Martino, in the province of Brescia.

Catello Bonomi – at the Franciacorta Festival Winery

For Franciacorta enthusiasts, Castello Bonomi offers something for every taste.

The Classic Tasting Experience includes a guided tour and tasting of 2 glasses chosen among their classic Franciacortas paired with the Islands of Flavors: Oysters, Parma Ham, Franciacorta Risotto and other delicacies!

With the experience Monte Orfano you can choose 2 glasses from their high-end Franciacorta selections, also paired with the Islands of Flavors. Meanwhile, the Lucrezia Reserve Tasting features 2 glasses of Franciacorta Riserva Lucrezia Black Label 2011 and White Label 2009, always accompanied by the Islands of Flavors.

Besides excellent wine tastings from Castello Bonomi, the winery also offers special events during the Festival. The Lunch in the Cellar experience will take place on September 20 and 21, featuring a rich 4-course menu prepared by the chefs of Quinto Quarto gastronomy (children’s menu and gluten/lactose-free options available).

San Cristoforo at the Franciacorta Festival

Also San Cristoforo opens its doors to visitors.

Besides the experiences offered year-round, during the Franciacorta Festival the winery presents the Festival Franciacorta Opening Party on Friday 19th from 7 PM. The evening includes 2 glasses of wine, 2 dishes of choice, and a DJ set for lots of fun! On the final day, Sunday 21st September, the Festival Franciacorta Closing Party starts at 6 PM with free entrance.

Saturday evening features the Dinner in the Vineyard starting at 7 PM with an aperitif. The dinner includes 3 appetizers, 1 first course, 2 main courses, and dessert.

The winery is located in Erbusco, Brescia province.

Bonfadini Franciacorta during the Festival

Among the wineries participating in the Festival is the Azienda Agricola Bonfadini.

For the event, the winery offers two experiences: Franciacorta Festival and Off Festival.

The first, from Friday 19 to Sunday 21, includes a glass of Franciacorta and a dish of choice from the food truck Ciccio’s Smoke & BBQ. During booking, it is possible to customize the package by adding extra glasses, dishes, and fries. Children’s packages can be purchased on site.

The second offers the same activities but is valid only on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21. Winery visits are free and optional; please specify at booking if you wish to attend and the number of participants.

Santus and the Experiences during the Franciacorta Festival

Finally, we also have the company Santus Franciacorta which offers three different events during the Festival:

• Jeroboam Format Tasting
• Santus and Pizza
• Winery Aperitif

The first, Jeroboam Format Tasting is an exclusive event held on September 19th at 11 AM for only 25 participants: three vintages of Franciacorta in Jeroboam format, guided by Gianfranco Pagano and oenologist Alessandro Santini. Included are a winery tour and gourmet pizza.

As for Santus and Pizzathe winery opens its doors for two days (Saturday and Sunday) with guided tours exploring the production method and company philosophy, followed by tastings of 2 Franciacorta wines paired with gourmet pizzas.

Finally, Winery Aperitif takes place on Friday and Saturday evenings featuring an aperitif with a glass of Santus Franciacorta Dosaggio Zero paired with gourmet food offerings by Salamensa Gruppo Dal Dosso, all accompanied by a live vinyl DJ set.
